Seetha Ramudu Kummari, Ph.D., P.E. is a Senior Engineer II within the Mechanical & Structural Engineering business unit at The Equity Engineering Group and provides engineering consulting services to the oil & gas, chemical, and nuclear industries on a variety of projects. His areas of specialization include FFS using API 579, high temperature assessments, fatigue and fracture mechanics, and advanced stress and heat transfer analysis using FEA and CFD. He has published more than 25 technical papers at engineering conferences such as ASME, API, NACE, AIChE, etc. Additionally, he is a Registered Professional Engineer in six U.S. states.
Dr. Kummari earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. As a part of his Ph.D. dissertation, he developed experimental and computational methods to assess fracture risks of bones in elderly people. He earned both his Bachelors and Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India.
